The National Computer Science Academy has a variety
of job opportunities available in test development and validation.
These opportunities allow you to work from home in your spare time
developing content for use on our site. We have included
a brief description and some frequently asked questions below which
should give you some idea of how the system works.
How do I get started?
Near the bottom of this page is a list of the certification exams
we currently need developers for. If you feel that you have the
experience necessary to help create a certification exam in one
or more areas you can complete an application here. If accepted,
we will provide you with additional information to help you get
started creating tests for us.
What kind of compensation will I receive?
After you have completed your application we will contact you regarding
the work and payment schedules available.
What are the requirements to get started?
For test developers we require a completed application. Once we
have processed and approved your application we will contact you
about creating some evaluation questions. After we have reviewed
your evaluation questions you can begin developing exams for us.
We prefer that our test developers have prior industry experience,
however, we strongly encourage anyone to submit a application as
quality of work is by far the most important factor in being approved
for our program.
What special skills/software is required to for test developers?
Besides the obvious need to have knowledge in the exam area you
will need to have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer as
this is the format in which you will send us your completed questions.
Do I have to purchase an NCSA membership to work as a developer?
No. You do not need to be NCSA certified or have and NCSA membership
in order to work for us as a developer. The quality of your submitted
project is the key factor in determining who gets approved.
