Get the National Admissions Test for Law
(LNAT) at Pearson VUE Test Centers
Pearson VUE, the electronic testing business of Pearson Education,
today announced it signed an exclusive, five-year contract with
the LNAT Consortium Ltd. to provide computer-based test delivery
of the National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT). The LNAT is now
available throughout the Pearson VUE-owned and -operated network
of 150 Pearson Professional Centers in the United Kingdom as well
as more than 200 Pearson Professional Centers in the United States
and its territories. The exam is also available in an additional
170 Pearson VUE® Authorized Center Select test centers around
the world.
The LNAT is run by a group of universities in
the United Kingdom called the LNAT Consortium Ltd. The test is
designed to provide an assessment of a candidate’s potential
for law degree courses. It’s one of the factors LNAT-participating
universities consider during the selection process of applicants
who want to join their undergraduate law programs. In the past,
universities in the United Kingdom selected candidates based principally
on their A-level results in high school. Now candidates who apply
to LNAT-participating universities in the UK will be accepted
based on their LNAT scores as well. This new application process
mirrors the current process used by universities and colleges,
graduate schools and law schools in the United States.
