It is often confusing when you think about an operating system and what exactly it entails. I would like to explain more about the computer operating system:
1. What is an operating system?
2. What does it do?
3. Why it is called an operating system?
4. Where can we get the operating system?
5. The imoportance of operating system.
6. What are the problems?
7. How many operating systems do we have?
An operating system in the set of instructions that governs computer programs. or in other words, we can say that an operating systemm is the software that is used to direct and operate the computer.
An operating system, has got several works to do in the computer, it govern the computer progarms and at the same time to make the computer to work. This means that, without an operating system a computer can not be there. It the sotfware that makes the computer to exist.
It is called an operating system because it operates all the works in the computer. it organise the programs in the PC and other important things for the computer to work efficiently.
For one to get these operating systems, it needs him/ her to buy. there are many ways for one to but an operating system, through internet or some shops.
The operating system is very important to a person who owns a computer because they can't use a computer without an operating system.
Though an operating system is very important for computer users, the users also faces some problems when using the computer or the operating systems. for example when one is not familier with the operating system. maybe is was used a kind of operating system that is called windows xp and changes for another operating system called windows vista, it can be difficult for that person to cope with that operating system.
There are many types of operating systems, just to mention a few,
1. Windows XP, a very popular one now.
2. Windows Vista.
3. Windows 7
4. Black XP
and many other.
